Going into his final year of high school, Lance McClain figured he would be able to breeze through with the most stressful parts of the year being picking a college to attend and making sure he could pass Mr. Smythe’s AP Biology class. Compared to his freshman year and the years that followed, Lance feels like he’s finally reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. His dad is starting to come around after Lance came out two years ago, and they’re finally starting to spend more time together. His mom’s new bakery is finally picking up after nearly being shut down—and, last but not least, his siblings are all going to be coming home for this year’s Christmas dinner because Luis is getting married only days before Christmas Eve!
