    Who the hell was Stilinski? Oh. Derek glared as the guy in the red hoodie crossed to the lab table they were going to be expected to share. No. This wasn’t going to work for him.
    “Mr. Harris?” Derek asked.
    “It’s definitely not time for questions, but I’m morbidly curious. Go ahead, Mr. Hale.”
    “Could you assign me to someone else? Anyone but him?”
    Mr. Harris smiled. There was absolutely nothing comforting about it. In fact, all of Derek’s instincts were telling him that smile meant he had royally messed up.
    “Well, now that I know you’d prefer not to... yes, you have to be with him.”
    Great. Just great.

    In this AU (heavily inspired by this gifset) the Hales are pushed a few years forward and the Hale Fire never happened. So, this story will explore a lot of “what if”s and different scenarios that might have come from that.
