Summary
Neil's sophomore year at Palmetto, told through his perspective, the perspectives of some of his fellow Foxes, and the perspectives of the freshman. This is an exploration of what happened during his Sophomore year based upon Nora's extra content and my imagination, hopefully setting the tone for what the Fox family will look like for the rest of their lives.
EDIT: if you are just joining, welcome! i took about a nine month break from this work (i've been studying abroad in spain!!), but i am back :)
that being said, chapters 1-6 are not my finest writing because it was written by a much younger version of me, and while i would love for people to come give this fic a try, if you're intrested, i would recommend skimming through 1-6 just to see if you like the plot (though it's mostly just world building and not super intresting quite yet tbh, so if you can find it in yourself to survive that part, i think you'll like what comes after). after 1-6, the writing gets better!! things will start picking up and getting more interesting around chapter eight or nine. thanks for reading and i hope you give the fic a try!NOTE: chapter 8 has a chapter recap, character recap, and rules of exy/rules of my world recap!

Antonio is a father and older brother. He knows when someone has a secret, is having a bad day, or just needs a shoulder to cry on.
Or, Antonio steps in for Erin when she's out of town, and Nadia's mask slips a bit too much to reveal a very, very bad day. Wrote this lil' drabble because I can NOT be the only one who noticed all the small family-esque interactions between Nadia and Antonio :)

Summary
Kate loved the rain, and she loved when dark clouds circled above and dimmed the sun's light. They’d open up and let water cascade downward, familiar rumbles of thunder finding their way deep into Kate’s chest. She’d go outside, stand with her face tilted upward, and she’d let the droplets roll down her face. It was always better when there was a breeze, something to thrill Kate as the wind's chill hit her wet skin and sent a shiver through her that reminded her that she was irrevocably alive. It was a mistake, though, that she was alive. She didn’t deserve to make it out of the tornado that had torn open her leg and left her broken and scarred. Today was one of her worse days. It was one of the days where her scar sent bright searing pain through her leg with no explanation. She tried to separate Kate now from Kate then, promising herself that she’d moved on and was whole again, but days like this blurred the line and she couldn’t tell what was now and what was then.
Or, Kate has a Bad Day and Tyler helps. Kate learns how to let herself be loved again, and Tyler loves Kate Carter very, very much.

Robin was fucked. Plain and simple. He knew better than to venture into Crime Alley (it’d been drilled into his head after Bruce threatened to revoke his patrol privileges with a firm order to “stay away from Red Hood” even when Tim protested, defending Jason, despite knowing the dangers that came with him because Jason had a code, Jason didn’t hurt kids, he killed rapists, he protected the people who needed protecting and only ever dealt in arms and drugs trafficking, never in humans), known better than to test Jason’s patience.
And yet, here was Red Hood, Jason Todd, Tim's big brother, to bail him out of this godawful situation. Thank god Jason didn't listen to Bruce's warnings to stay away. Tim had never been more grateful that the batfamily was just a bunch of rebels than right now.

Summary
Neil should have been more careful. He should have understood that just because he was Neil Josten and not Nathaniel didn’t mean that everyone had forgotten who his father was. He was reminded every day of history he’d much rather forget when he looked in the mirror. He was learning not to hate his eyes, but it had become clear that not everyone shared that sentiment.
Someone—Neil wasn’t sure who, and frankly, it didn’t matter—retaliated for the death of his father. In a way, Neil supposed his father's death was his own fault. It was supposed to be an evening run, a few miles just to clear his head. He’d been having nightmares, and he decided that this was the healthiest way to process all the information his brain was feeding him. He didn’t expect the evening to turn red with his own blood. It did, though, and Neil emerged with another bullet wound, a few more scars, but most importantly, no more death on his hands.
He ended up at Wymack's door, banging on it with the hand that wasn't busy stopping blood from exiting his shoulder. "Coach?"

Summary
Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.
