Summary
Buried deep within the Nara woods is something forgotten and whispering prayers to a God no one remembers. Something that should have stayed lost. Like Pandora, you unleash it upon the world once more.
Hidan says that pain is holy; its what makes you truly alive. That your meeting is divine intervention orchestrated by his God. You're not so sure, but that's starting to matter less and less.
Ultimately, some things should stay buried.

Hidan and Kakuzu go on yet another bounty hunt, and this time the bounty is the Reader, a missing-nin doctor. After losing the battle, yet showing worthy strength, she gets an irrefutable offer. Join the Akatsuki; or die. Becoming part of the terrorist organization, she gets surprisingly close with the psychotic cultist, learning that there is more to him and his religion than meets the eye.

Ford, suddenly assaulted by ghosts of lost, alcohol-soaked, hazy, whisp-like memories circling in the periphery of his mind, went deathly pale and had to take a step back to lean his weight against the cash-counter.
“I- That- That cannot have been legally binding!"
