His producer sticks by his side as Wilhelm navigates dating in the pods, personal tragedy, his engagement, cohabitation, and wedding planning.

Simon knows better than to get emotionally invested in a the lives of reality show participants. He is there to document their love stories as they win over the hearts of their intended and the viewing audience, or to document their failures in a way that allows viewers to connect with their love life struggles, as he does.

Summary
Simon and Wilhelm have been best friends for as long as they can remember, sharing a home and a bond that’s always felt unbreakable. Simon is openly gay, Wilhelm, probably the straightest person he knows. For years, that difference never mattered—until Simon starts feeling something deeper, something confusing, every time Wilhelm touches him or teases him without meaning to.
But Wilhelm’s reckless nights, filled with strangers and careless hookups in their shared apartment, ignite a fire of anger and hurt inside Simon. The boundaries of their friendship begin to crack as Simon struggles to push his feelings aside while coping with Wilhelm’s thoughtlessness.
When the tension finally boils over, they’re forced to confront the truth neither dared say out loud: maybe their friendship isn’t enough anymore.
As Wilhelm grapples with guilt and unexpected feelings of his own, and Simon fights his growing love while trying to protect their bond, both must decide if they can risk everything to find out what lies beyond friendship.
