It's not the nitroglycerin on his hands that he is wary about.
His hands are practiced, careful. Kirishima knows this. He knows it from months of watching, observing, and wanting. Kaminari would call it pining, but that doesn’t quite do it justice.
It's the warmth he feels on his skin with every sideways glance that he thinks Kirishima doesn’t catch. It's the heat that simmers in his stomach against his will every time his best friend wets his lips or rolls his eyes. It's the way he feels a flare in his chest when he's smirked at, the way he starts to combust when he hears a small tired sigh after studying together for hours.
Bakugou could make Kirishima unravel at the seams without even trying, without even knowing what he was doing.
So no, it's not the nitroglycerin that he's wary about.
It hasn't been in a long, long time.
