“What is there to get, Eddie?” Richie asks and his voice is sad because he feels like his last name is some stupid fucking curse and his dad just had to be the mayor of Shitville, Maine. “There’s a clear reason I didn’t tell you.”
Eddie leans back on Richie’s thighs but he hasn’t gotten off or asked Richie to move or left Richie’s car and said fuck you. “So you’re telling me that your family is the richest family in this entire town and you drive this? Interesting.”
“That’s what you’re worried about? My fucking truck?”

“That’s flattering,” the guy says and the police don’t know his name, don’t know the complete details of his face but Eddie knows. He knows this is him, knows that he has big ears and big teeth and freckles and big glasses and long limbs and curly brown hair and big, big brown eyes. “You don’t need to worry about that. I said I was going to let you go, didn’t I?”
“I have a hunch that you’re lying,” Eddie replies and when he sees the slow grin grow on the guy’s face he knows that he’s right. He’s not going to see his graduation, not ever going to see Stan and Mike finally get together, not going to watch Bill’s little brother make it all the way to high school. “Before you shoot me, at least let me leave my friends a note.”
“You think I’m going to shoot you? This is purely decoration, dear. You can leave a note, though. You’re coming with me, got it? Get clothes, or whatever you might need. You have five minutes and then we’re leaving.”

Summary
Richie thinks that this is what being a father is like. He sure fucking feels like a father, dropping all of his plans to take care of his pet, making very specific google searches and running around his apartment like a madman, grabbing toys and a blanket and a few mice in a tupperware bowl. He knows logistically that everything he’s grabbing is useless and what he really needs is a chill pill and maybe some whiskey to soothe his shaking hands, but Richie can’t help the way his paternal side wakes up and takes control of his mind.
Instead of buckling a child into a carseat, though, Richie grabs a snake from a terrarium and transfers him into the “travel cage” that he bought when he brought his snake to see a drive-in movie. Noodle is curled into a sad ball, his tail wrapped tightly around itself. He’s asleep even as Richie picks him up, which is the first bad sign, and he doesn’t move at all when Richie plants him into his other cage, which is the second bad sign. Richie can’t run to his car fast enough.

Summary
He’s stuffed full of Richie Tozier; Richie inside of him, and outside of him, and on top of him, Richie Tozier surrounding him in all of his beautiful glory. Him- Eddie Kaspbrak, all five foot six of him, covered in freckles and weak noodly limbs- in Richie’s bedroom, moaning Richie’s name for the whole world to hear.
His evening didn’t begin this way, of course. A few things had to happen for Eddie to get to this place in his life- this world shattering, life saving place in his life.

The metal was cool on Thomas’s skin, nearly ice cold due to the freezing air. Thomas grinned when nothing happened, turning towards Minho with his hand still clasped around metal. Everything was normal. The wind was blowing, picking up snow and littered pieces of plastic and leaves that the trees had began to shed. Cars drove on by, people walked on by, no one cared enough to even glance over at them.
And then, Thomas felt skin, rather than metal, grasping his hand.
