“No post on Sundays” Uncle Vernon announced happily, “No damn letters today-”
Something came whizzing down the kitchen chimney as he spoke and caught him sharply on the back of the head. The next moment, thirty or forty letters came pelting out of the fireplace like bullets.
“That does it!” he snapped, his beady little eyes focused solely on Harry, “It’s you that they want. And they won’t stop coming after us until you’re… gone”.
Harry didn't like the sound of that.
“But Vernon, we can’t! You heard what that- that despicable old man told us!”
“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

Summary
Magic will follow intent. He has been told that in every class, every year, since he first stepped foot in Hogwarts. After all, he is “The Boy Who Lived.” So he’ll figure out a way to live through this like he always does, because Harry Potter always perseveres—even if he can’t be “Harry Potter” anymore, and it’s 1974, and Voldemort is at the height of his power, and Severus Snape has, weirdly enough, really pretty eyes.
“Yeah,” Harry thought as he attempted to ignore that last bit his mind unhelpfully added on, “I can do this.”

Summary
What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book one, I guess.
Features Harry Potter trying to keep his friends from doing crimes, a tired Remus Lupin spontaneously adopting a traumatized child with absurd magical capabilities, Severus Snape doing the bare minimum which is still somehow more than what Dumbledore is capable of, and Harry's friends' growing exasperation with Harry's terrible decision-making skills.

Summary
What if Harry actually died when he walked into the forest that fateful day, or rather, not really. Harry James Potter goes back in time and comes back as Hadrian Peverell-Slytherin. How will he go through the years again and what will be different.
Where a overpowered, smart, with a no-nonsense attitude, cunning Hadrian comes to Hogwarts and shakes the very foundations of the universe.
This is a really slow burn and builds up (slowly) to an eventually powerful Harry Potter. It will also be multiple chapters in before he goes back in time so please bear with me.
