Summary
Eddie Munson lives an exhausting life in the city, working a dead-end job that barely keeps his bills paid. When his uncle Wayne dies unexpectedly, Eddie suddenly finds himself in the possession of the deed to Forest Hills Farm, Wayne's pride and joy and his life's work.
Eddie decides to leave his miserable life and move out to the small town of Hawkins so he can take on the farm. Upon arriving there, he is faced with a mess of a property and a whole host of townsfolk eager to meet him. Except for the one supermarket in town who's manager immediately marks Eddie as an enemy.
Struggling with his grief over the loss of his uncle, as well as his own sense of inadequacy as he is faced with running an entire farm, Eddie finds himself adrift and uncertain about how to keep Wayne's memory alive. Luckily for him, a handsome man from the town, Steve Harrington, seems fully intent on helping Eddie find his footing in this strange new life of his.

Summary
When Steve nearly runs over Will Byers on that fateful night in 1983, he doesn’t expect offering him a ride home would result in both of them being hunted into another dimension. Surviving there is hard. Adapting to normal life again is even harder. His old self settles like an ill-fitting suit, and there’s no room for nightmares and fear and his new bond with Will in it. Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
