"Hey, wait a sec."
Ken turned around, genuinely surprised by what he saw.
The person who called out to him looked similar in age. Not only that, but his hair was dyed a dark blue, contrasting his sharp, blood red eyes. He was dressed in a plain, dark hoodie and baggy black pants, accompanied by accessories such as clip-on earrings, rings and a necklace (all silver).
Ken thought he was beautiful.
"Oh!" Ken looked away. "I-I'm sorry, did I disturb you?"
"Um. . ." The boy stared at Ken as if he was deciphering something. "No, no, you're fine."
"Oh, good," Ken smiled awkwardly. "Sorry, I'm kind of lost. I've never been around here before."
The other boy continued to stare at Ken, with Ken finally noticing his intense eyes.
"Is- is something wrong?"
". . .Are you Ken Hasegawa?"
An alternate universe where Hasegawa and Kamimura meet during Hasegawa's business trip for a quiz show in Osaka, and Kamimura may or may not already know about him.

"Wooow, you really gave it up that easily? How boring-"
"What's yours?" he interjected.
"-Huh?" Kokichi looked up at him with a blank expression - honestly, he didn't expect their conversation to have actually made it this far.
"What's your name?" Saihara repeated, more confident than before, "I've told you mine, it's only fair."
"Oh?" Kokichi retorts, arching an eyebrow in curiosity, "And what'll happen if I don't? Will you send your army of pigeons to take me away, Mister 'Supreme Leader'?" He giggled, "Juust kidding! I’m, the one and only, Kokichi Ouma, Ultimate Detective at your service," he declared as he gave him a playful bow. "See you later, Bird Boy!" With a playful wave goodbye, he gleefully skipped away back into the school building.
As his eyes chased after the jubilant detective, the boy could feel his gaze soften; there was a nagging feeling in his chest, encapsulated in an unfamiliar feeling of warmth, and he wasn't ready to let go of it just yet.

Summary
Kazutoshi never had good luck. The fact he ended up here in the first place was a testament to that. Meeting someone as perfect as Ken was already an astronomically unlikely event for Kazutoshi, and he knew nothing good could come from it. Confessing his feelings would be impending doom just waiting to happen.
