“Beautiful girl,” he said, exasperation evident in his sigh, raspy through the helmet’s modulator. There was a long moment where his visor remained fixed on you, the mystery of the dark T-shape and what lay beneath causing your breath to flutter in your chest. Then, ever so slowly, his hands came together in front of him. The orange fingertips of his left glove gripped the right and tugged. And then your breath whooshed out of you as he removed the leather, his bare, bronze hand revealed.
Din does the most intimate thing he can manage while upholding the Creed - he touches your face with his bare hands.

Mikhail and Matsuoka, they are alike, they can control the flames, they have had time to learn how to master them. Nanase has not. Tachibana told him what Nanase never wanted to share, that Matsuoka stayed only three months the first time they met, and that was enough to turn his world upside down.
(In the pool Rin laughs; Haru smiles back, his cheeks feel warm probably from the intensity of the race, yet he does not feel breathless. Or perhaps he is, a bit, but not from having swum too fast.)
Ryuji gets up; he can’t bear to watch how a little more spark could reduce all his efforts to ashes.
