Summary
Niima Outpost was a humble little auto shop, with only Rey and her friend/co-worker Finn at its helm. But despite its small-town, local charm, it was a branch company of First Order Incorporated. For all the little branches and all the different businesses, they had one IT department. A massive IT department, she was sure of it, it had to be.
And yet whenever Rey had to call IT, which was about twice the amount of times a normal person would call "excessive," she got the same IT guy. Every. Damn. Time.
She named him Fuckhead.
He had grown to hate her fondly.Series

Summary
Fresh off a panic attack, Rey takes in a self-plucking parrot with a dirty mouth.
~The parrot is crammed into the back corner of the supply store where the vents are loudest and the ceiling mildewed. He’s wearing a chipped plastic bite collar and less than a third of his dark feathers.
The rest are arrayed on the floor of the cage in a pitiful, dirty pile.
As she approaches he ducks away, shy. Trembling, hiding his face in the worn tarp that covers the cage.
“Are you a pretty bird?” she asks.~

Summary
He leaned across the bar and gave her drink an extra splash of liquor. Then: “What does nonstop mean?”
She squinted at him. “Continuously, without ceasing.”
He rolled his eyes. “You said you work nonstop. How much do you work?”
She shrugged. “Eighty or so hours a week, usually. Sometimes more, if I have a deadline.”
“Jesus, Granger, when do you sleep?”
“Between the hours of 1 and 5 a.m. most days. But you should be familiar with this; it’s standard solicitor behavior, isn’t it?”
“No. I worked 10 to 3 Monday through Friday. It’s called having boundaries, Granger, you should try it.”
“Where did you work that you could get away with those hours?”
“Well, I couldn’t. That’s why I work here now.”OR: Draco learns how to make a gin and tonic.

Summary
“Hello, Freckles,” he says, quietly.
His voice is twisted and distorted by the modulator inside his mask, but, despite it all, it’s still as devastatingly familiar as ever – as deep as the ocean, as soft as the night around them. The stupid nickname he gave her a year ago feels almost like an endearment when uttered by him.
When she finally steels herself and turns into his direction, she has to blink him in a few times, as if her eyes had to adjust to his presence, melting out of the shadows – or maybe, melting back into them. It's hard to tell, when it comes to Kylo Ren.
“Kylo,” she replies, with a stiff nod. “What do you want?”
-- or: everything about being a Guardian of Light is exhilarating for Rey, with one exception. Kylo Ren, her nemesis. The man she can't stop thinking about. But it's not like she cares about him, right?

Summary
“You and Nev did Herbology together, right?” Hannah prompts with a smile, glancing between the two of them.
It’s second nature to downplay and deny it after all those years of trying to keep her interest in it under wraps. But just now, the solid warmth of Neville’s thigh presses against hers and she feels the shift beneath her ribs, like latches clicking into place and giving space for her lungs to expand normally for once.
“We did,” she says, letting herself meet his eyes for a fraction of a second.
“He told me you were better at it than him, which I find hard to belie—”
“That’s because it’s not true,” Pansy interrupts, turning to Neville. She raises a brow, feigning confidence when her insides are a twisting, pulsing mess of something with a terribly long wingspan. Pixies? Doxies? A fucking hippogriff? “Are you taking the piss?”
Neville shakes his head, eyes bright with mirth though his mouth stays serious. “No, are you? You’re brilliant. Always have been.”
