They didn't understand. They couldn't possibly understand, and yet they somehow expected MC to remain the same as before all of this Nightbringer nonsense happened. They expected the same, happy, affectionate MC that they were before all of this. They can't even remember that MC was in the past with them as their attendant. Their emotionally distant, always appropriate attendant, might you add. It killed you to push the brothers away, but you couldn't pretend like all of that, of everything, hadn't happened. They couldn't understand it. You couldn't go back to how you were with them before because you had spent so long adjusting to your new role, to the new expectations they held of you. It was ripping you apart.

The cafeteria was quiet early in the morning, which is precisely why Yuu could be found there. Between her feline roommate and her energetic best friends, she needed dedicated time to herself. The limitless coffee didn't exactly hurt, either. Few students spent any significant time in the cafeteria early in the morning, and normally, Yuu spent her time reading or drawing.
One morning, a silver-haired boy donning the Octavinelle uniform catches her eye. His order is always the same, day after day: one iced black coffee with no room. It wasn't her place, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't curious about why he never ordered anything else. Fate seems to push them together, first as strangers, then gradually as friends. Summary
