Seokjin doesn’t let himself hope.
He’s frightened, really, of letting this hope convince him that Yoongi could be someone for Seokjin to take comfort in, to do all these things he never thought he could do again, only for Yoongi to have the warmth sucked out of him the moment Seokjin musters up the courage to do something as simple as placing a hand on his shoulder.
Seokjin’s so, so, scared of finding out if this one thing that could make him feel a little less alone in the world is real, so he doesn’t test it.

Seokjin freezes everything he touches, and Yoongi sets them ablaze. What forces them away from others ends up being the thing that brings them together.

Summary
