He didn’t look loveable, though. N was hunched down with his claws out and his silver, sharp teeth showing, practically glistening in the light of the bunker. The two eyes on his visor were replaced with that dreaded X symbol that covered the whole thing. His tail was lashing around behind him, ready to stab anything with the nanite acid inside of it. Yep, that definitely wasn’t her lovable idiot.

"Did Hunter fall asleep?" Amity asked in surprise.
The rest of the kids looked up and followed her gaze to the couch where, indeed, Hunter had fallen asleep. A documentary on the witch trials continued to play quietly on screen, while the rest of them sat around the kitchen table playing cards. Hunter hadn't known the rules, and hadn't felt like learning.
"I can't believe it," Gus said in wonder, "He tosses and turns all night. I've never seen him fall asleep by accident before."
