“Let’s see, what kind of dream should I take a peek at…oh, I know! How about one of your wildest fantasies?” Aventurine takes a few steps back as he verbally ponders his choice.
Ratio smothers his own face with his hand. “Why do I even bother entertaining these whims of yours?” A deep sigh accompanies his rhetorical question. “I don’t know what it is you’re expecting, but I assure you, there is nothing interesting about my dreams.”
“Are you sure about that?”
Ratio pauses. He lowers his hand and stares at Aventurine for a moment. His usually steady gaze is now quivering slightly with hesitation and caution.
Aventurine’s smile widens. Bingo.
