Summary
Then, they’ll all but skip off into the sunset together, hand in hand. It’s cute. Summary
After a series of failed dates set up by her mom, Samira finds herself at a bar for a one-girl pity party, which is quickly crashed by Jack Abbot. Somehow, she goes from running out the back door of a five-star Italian restaurant to eating pizza in a hole-in-the-wall with Jack, and Samira never expected all of those failed dates to lead to stumbling through her apartment door with Jack as the two of them finally give into the tension they had been struggling to push aside.

Summary
Some divides form quietly, without warning. Others hit like a fist. They leave no line, only impact.
It happened like that. Fast. One moment, it was just another day, just another conversation about plans, or the lack of them. The next, she woke up with a black eye and a bloody nose.
----
A story of resilience, intimacy, and the slow, luminous process of letting someone in, even when the world has tried to break you.
