Summary
After Calo was killed from the car bomb that was intended for Michael, he returns to New York with Apollonia by his side as he prepares for his new role as Don Corleone. With the little English she knows, Apollonia feels eager to embark on this new journey with her newly-wedded husband and adjust to her new life in New York City. However, in stark contrast to her very traditional and pious upbringing, living in a big city with dangerous people lurking on every corner is proving to be a big venture she is not sure she can accomplish.
***Michael (born in 1920) and Apollonia (born in 1931) have an eleven year age difference. So in 1948, Michael is twenty-eight years old and Apollonia is seventeen years old, which is why this fic has the "Underage" Archive Warning.
