    jay is the bane of jungwon’s existence. his stupid hair, his godforsaken tanned skin, his dumb smile those awful lips, even his stupid hair and those even worse, stupidly kind things he does like carrying jungwon home after parties or remembering how he takes his coffee— anyway.

    jungwon hates him. so much. jay’s always prancing around like he's actively trying to make people fall in love with him.

    A pause. Then another nod.

    “Yeah,” Hongjoong said. “Only because it’s you though.”

    Seonghwa’s face turned into a smile as he moved in carefully, arms wrapping around him in a loose, gentle hold. Not crushing. Not lingering. Just warm. Steady. Safe.

    Hongjoong let his forehead rest briefly against Seonghwa’s shoulder and when they pulled back, there was a different kind of breath between them. A shared one. Light.

    “Thank you,” Hongjoong said.
