'I mean for you to finish your task, Mister Frodo, and I mean to finish it with you. And you cannot do that if you are lying broken somewhere on the side of the road.'

    'Sam-'

'I have no interest in the saving of this world, Mister Frodo, if I can't save you with it.'

Samwise Gamgee cared not for weilding great weapons, overthrowing great cities, or fighting great battles. So when the One Ring tempted him, it tempted him with the thing he did care about- more than anything else in the world.

(In which Sam notices just how much of a hold the Ring has over Frodo, and makes him take a break from carrying it- but nobody is immune to the thrall of the Ring, not even Samwise the Brave. Based on both film and book universe, but mostly inspired by Tolkien's style of prose. Sam's character is probably more consistent with how it is in the book, as well as the master/servant dynamic. I hope you enjoy!)

CURTAINCALLLL!!! Yes, this is the first work that contains Curtaincall as a ship. The relationship tag doesn't even exist yet!
    -----------
Black Sapphire was never the person to chase love. Not even consider it as a part of his life. It was just nonexistent. While being the pawn and servant of Shadow Milk and rarely seeing other cookies outside of his duties, he simply didn't have any reason to get involved in what cookies called romance.

Until a certain shadow approached him.
