Summary
Yuuji only knows two things about his scent: it's strong and it's sweet. After presenting as a prime omega and sending his entire class running away from the strength of his scent, he's been on suppressants and scent blockers and masquerading as a beta for his own safety. He doesn't really mind. He doesn't mind that the alpha he's had a crush on for years doesn't know he's an omega, and he doesn't mind that he'd probably hate his scent even if he did. Satoru Gojo isn't even here anymore, after all. So he's fine. He's getting by.
But after Satoru Gojo is released from the Prison Realm, things slowly start to shift. The higher-ups take an interest in Yuuji's designation, and Gojo is the only one who can keep him safe by declaring himself his prospective mate.

It's a confounding chain of events. Yuji, an unassuming anti-android college student, stumbles upon Gojo Satoru, who he finds out is actually an artificial life form. The robot is brought home, wreaks havoc, and loves making eyes at Yuji, even if it goes unreciprocated. To put it simply, he is a certified nuisance.
One day, out of nowhere, he glitches out. He doesn't reboot.

Yuuji sits on his haunches, back against the wall, chest imploding. The door beside him is slightly ajar, just enough for him to hear them speak.
"I want you back," Geto says.
It doesn't take him by surprise. He isn't a total idiot. He knows they have a past, he feels how the air changes when they both enter the same room. It's palpable, their connection. And Yuuji.. Well, he simply can't compete, can he? Not with Geto, the 6' 3 male model that's known Gojo for years.
"Geto, we've been over this.." Gojo says quietly, softly.
Geto scoffs, "Oh come on, don't tell me this is about him again. He's just a distraction for you, Satoru. Let the kid go, save him the heartbreak. We both know it's coming."
Yuuji doesn't wait to hear Gojo's response.

It's unnerving. Slightly disturbing. But more than these mixed feelings, it's exhilarating in a way that's so reminiscent of the thrill of fighting it hurts.
