kayama nemuri is a cat person.
not many people believes her when she says this, seeing as she is a proud owner of the happiest golden retriever to ever exist called hizashi and a retired military trained german shepherd named shouta.
while the two showed their love for their owner very differently, it was still very evident how fiercely they cared. nemuri adores her little family of three with all her heart and wouldn’t change her pups for the world. their family wasn’t large but they had each other and it was enough.
which was why she would never have expected shouta to come back looking so incredibly guilty and flustered with a tiny little shadow trotting in between his paws.

the voice made him stop in his tracks from where he was walking a few paces behind izuku on their weekly walks at the park.
only izuku called him ‘papa’ and his six year old was having the time of his life splashing in puddles up ahead of him. shouta knew this. still, he turned around to once again, only to be met by an empty pathway.
had he misheard? but someone needed to actually be there for him to hear anything in the first place- and he knew he heard something. he was sure of it this time.
yet, once again, he was met with emptiness, no one there.

an unsettling thought whispered in his head that this was courting behaviour.
shouta physically batted away the thought and sighed. this was… an unexpected development. he did not want to have to call the kid out to explain inappropriate crushes. however, the evergreen scent in the air was nothing but platonic, more akin to a puppy in the presence of its dam rather than anything close to romantic.
he sighed again. he couldn’t tell what was running through the kid’s head when it came to his problem puppy.

The pathetic thing lies limp beside him, curled at the edges from countless tries sticking it back on. But the patch refuses to attach itself to his rashy skin and so he’s left scratching away at the gland. He digs his nails in and hopes it’ll make him stop producing that nauseating milky scent.
The second someone walks into the bathroom they’ll be hit with a wall of upset Little. If it’s a caregiver he’ll be bombarded by forced comfort, but even neutrals tend to go pathetically soft at the sight of a teary eyed baby-spacer. His neck is wet against his skin, he keeps going. Blood is better than milk and he can’t stop, he can’t let anyone know.
