Summary
"I was hoping..." Neil peered back up at him with those fervent eyes before he broke his inconspicuous character and cracked a smile, "my favorite scene partner would help me test it out?"
In the midst of Todd's continual crisis of what exactly Neil's "no" means, Neil asks him to read from a scene from Orestes. You know, for practice.

"I think I may be able to guide you to your own conclusion," Mr. Keating said, "What do you think?”
“Sure,” Neil said, “If you think it’ll help.”
“It just might,” Keating said, “Now, this person you’re in love with, it’s not Mr. Dalton, is it?”
“No!” Neil said, looking amused just at the implication.
“Good. That’s what I need. When you look at Mr. Dalton, do you look at him the same way you look at the person you do love?”
Neil paused, considering. “No.”
“Do you imagine a life with you and Dalton?”
“Not really.”
“With this mystery person?”
Neil stopped. He stared out of the window. “Yes,” he breathed, as if it were some terrible secret.

Summary
Neil and Todd go swing dancing at a club, and Todd confesses his feelings for Neil.
Tw for detailed panic attack
Excerpt:
“Neil had been right. Of course he’d been right, he was always right. Todd loved jazz, all jazz. Slow jazz, fast jazz, he loved everything about it. From the brazen instruments, to the even more brazen dancing, and everything in between. Most of all, he loved how Neil’s face lit up when they stepped into the otherworldly, infectious joy of The Dotted Half.
Todd loved that smile more than anything in the world. The way his eyes glittered with unfettered joy, and his feet shifted excitedly on the hardwood dancing floors, bouncing to the beat of the drums, the sax, the trumpet. His eyes would follow the dancers, watching them twirl and leap, watching them Lindy hop, jitterbug, and Charleston across the floor.”Bookmarked by lecia
