“What? No!"
-
Hermione is determined to smile through Malfoy’s blatant taunting without biting his head off.

Summary
“Are they your friends, Malfoy, or just people that have grown on you like barnacles since you were a baby? Have you ever made a friend in your life, or are they simply something that’s been handed to you, like your big, fat inheritance or your father’s titles?” Her voice had risen without her even realising it.
As soon as the words left her mouth Hermione felt the temperature in the room drop. She bit her lip, suddenly wishing that she hadn’t said anything.
Malfoy met Hermione with a glare, his grey eyes simmering with what she could only describe as pure, undiluted hatred.
“Piss off, Granger." He stood to his full height. From where she sat, he seemed like a giant and she suddenly felt very, very small. "Pansy was right. No one in their right mind would go to the ball with you.”
Hermione Granger had always been invisible at the prestigious Godric’s Hollow Grammar, a school for only the richest of England’s elite. That is until Theodore Nott, son of one of the most prominent families in Britain and Draco's Malfoy's best friend, asks her to the school's annual ball.
And Malfoy is not happy.

Summary
Draco had set out to accomplish many goals upon his return to Hogwarts for eighth year: Obtain seven NEWTs. Perform all Head Boy duties with grace and precision. Win the Inter-House Quidditch Cup. Convince the student body that he is no longer prejudiced. Survive.
Fancying Hermione Granger was absolutely *not* one of those goals.
And yet, he finds himself head over broom for the witch by the beginning of their second term.
Because Draco cannot--simply cannot--fancy Hermione Granger, he resolves to undertake a series of tasks to dispel his feelings for her.
Guiding him is Crookshanks, who has, Draco belatedly discovers, his own, conflicting goals regarding Draco and Granger.
[A story in which Crookshanks is heavily involved in the Draco-Hermione relationship.]

Summary
At a holiday party for Ministry employees, Granger explains the muggle tradition of setting a New Year’s resolution to Draco.
Draco, who has recently discovered that his feelings for her are more than platonic, latches onto the idea. What better time to “buckle down”—as the muggleborns say—on his efforts than January 1?
And so, Draco has decided, in the amount of time it takes her to describe the concept, that his New Year's resolution will consist of one lofty goal: to woo Hermione Granger.
All he has to do is navigate decoy, mid, and quarter year resolutions, join a fantasy (American) football team, train for a sprint triathlon, keep an overbearing Theodore Nott away from Granger, and dodge suspicious looks from overprotective Potters.
