Summary
No one really knows who Natsu’s brother is. Hair black as soot and dark eyes to match play a perfect contrast to the pale skin of the man who the public knows merely as ‘Z’. His return with the main Fairy Tail force after seven years is common knowledge, as is his intelligence; however, his poor social skills, cold demeanor, and tendency toward unsettling pronouncements make others wary.
Mysterious Mr. Z is an enigma; no one is brave enough to investigate him further, and the guild remains tight-lipped.
Or that is what Fairy Tail would like everyone to think.
It's one thing to keep the guild secrets intertwined with the blatantly loud and destructive personality many of them have. It's a completely different disaster when they're trying to hide the most infamous dark wizard of this half of millennia in plain sight just because he happens to be Natsu's brother.
Zeref, however, merely wishes to reconnect with his little brother and live a peaceful life.
An AU in which a twist of fate brings Zeref to Fairy Tail after his unexpected interruption of the S-class trials. He unsuccessfully tries to be the brother he once was, and the resulting mess becomes everyone's problem.

Whether or not their lives were meant to intertwine, Dan Feng doesn't know, however he isn't complaining as he watches the determined expression on Caelian's face as he tries to perfect a Foxian-safe chocolate.
Unfortunately, life is never that simple when you're the High Elder of the Vidyadhara.

You’re not allowed to blow me off tonight, no matter how hot the guy is,” he joked, hoping that Aizawa wouldn’t recognize the emotions underneath.
Of course, because Aizawa could never simply appreciate the sacrifices Hizashi made for him, he just sighed and frowned. “I don’t think it’ll work like that for me,” he said. “Nobody would be… interested.”
“Uhhh, have you seen yourself? I mean, after a shower, not after three solid days of patrolling and sleeping in alleys. You’re hot, man.”
“It’s not about that, it’s… never mind.”
Ok, now Hizashi was curious. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“Come oonnnn, you can tell me! What are best friends for!”
