He sighs so gently, closing his eyes.
“We can’t stay here all day,” Mairon tries again, albeit weakly, and Artanis senses it like a hunting dog, honing in for the kill.
“What’s a day,” she asks so innocently, so sweetly, “when you live for eternity?”

Summary
The room, if it could even be called that, was high-vaulted and hued like that of nature in first bloom. The walls were of elegantly twined tree trunks still young and green despite their age. High above him and made of thousands of crisp leaves was a roof; through it, beams both yellow and gold shot down from the invisible sky somewhere beyond them. It was, plainly put, a little piece of paradise hidden within Middle-earth. There was a pang in his heart; for it reminded him of the home he had forsaken so long ago in order to go on a perilous journey that never ceased to come to an end.
This, he knew, was the home of the Elves.

“Pray tell,” she whispered back, “what is this, then?”
There were many words for what this was, and yet none of them seemed to do it justice. He sought for moments trying to grasp at it until he found himself speaking outside of himself by a voice that seemed hardly of his own accord. “We seek acceptance, do we not?” Halbrand reasoned, meeting Galadriel’s eyes. “You and me, we are the outsiders amongst our own people, but together, we are a unified front. We could send a message together. Show them it’s possible. Not just hope, but goodness. Altruism in its purest form . . . ” His hand had found its way back to her cheek, flushed pink and so, so warm to the touch.
Love, came the thought, but he banished it as soon as it reared its head from the depths.

Written for an anonymous tumblr prompt: Dub-con fic where Sauron and Galadriel are both prisoners of Morgoth. Morgoth makes them do it again and again and watches.

Summary
After the final Breaking of the World when existence is remade by its creator Eru Ilúvatar, second chances are possible. A little Artanis goes into the city with her brother, Finrod, and meets someone who isn't an Elf at the forge. Intrigued by Mairon, who is a Maia instead of an Elf like her, she keeps coming by to visit him throughout the years, and he visits her family, too. They develop a fast friendship, but the older Artanis becomes, the harder it is to remain just friends.
Written for a prompt asking for Sauron/Galadriel fic post-canon, post-LOTR, anything goes. This is where my mind went.
