"What is this?" Yunho asks, reaching out for the small object curiously.
"Nothing," Mingi is quick to answer and tries to grab the item. But he's not fast enough. Yunho grabs the small thing and fetches before Mingi could. He opens his fist to examine the small object; he doesn't notice Mingi goes silent and looks away chewing on his lower lip nervously.
It's a babypink plastic ring with a shiny purple plastic stone. He remembers he gave that ring to Mingi at the end of the summer before 10th grade. Those 3 days were like a domestic episode from an anime.

“Rock, paper, scissors?” Changbin suggested, offering up their usual decision-making tool.
Seungmin countered with, “We could draw straws? It’s more random that way.”
“What if we played Mario Kart? Or Brawl?” Always one to suggest playing video games, Felix bounced excitedly at the chance to get all the members into a tournament together. “Oh, oh! I just got the new Dragon Ball game!”

He could take it back. Laugh it off. Play it cool. Change the subject. But something in the way Jisung looks at him makes him want to take the step. To jump. To finally just fall.
“I said”, he whispers, “Maybe I was born to meet you.”
The air goes still. So does time.
