Summary
Dean puts the Atlantic Sea between himself and the past he's trying to run away from. A call from Bobby Singer, the only father figure in his life that he hasn't yet let down, lands him a job as an au pair for Charlie Bradbury and Claire Novak at Bly manor, a distinguished home in the English countryside. What he expects to find are ghosts. He finds something much less tangible and ten times more corrosive. A family.

Summary
Buck’s not really sure what to say here, so he doesn’t say anything. For a minute they stand there in total silence, the TV muted, and looking at Eddie – the defeated slump of his shoulders, the hand over his mouth, the eyes staring blankly at nothing – it’s like those modern art installations one of Buck’s exes used to take him to: Man, with broken heart.
Man, eviscerated.
Buck’s no good with people being sad around him – it always feels like his responsibility, like if they aren’t smiling it’s his fault, and this time it really is his fault, at least partially, so he offers, “You can beat me up, if it would make you feel better.”

[OR: Buck accidentally fucks Eddie's wife.]

Summary
Maybe he just needs to meet the right person. That’ll help with the giant best friend-shaped hole in his chest. He clicks the end of his pen and writes:
I’ll meet the love of my life tomorrow.
Or, Buck's journal grants wishes. It's not his fault that the only things he wants are the things he can't have.

Summary
Eddie is happy, with Buck.
He is.
And he’s letting himself be happy.
So he’s not sure why there’s still guilt grabbing at his throat, why there’s something wrong settling in his stomach, and why he looks in the mirror and can’t recognize himself.Series

Summary
From there, it becomes a thing. At least once a day, either Christopher or Buck declare that a mild inconvenience is a part of the anti-gay agenda.
They hit every red light? During pride month? Homophobic.
The hot water stops working? In June? Homophobic.
Or, Eddie doesn't think he really needs to come out to anyone. Christopher adopts a new catchphrase. Buck is confused.

Summary
Carm blows smoke up at the sky and meets her gaze. “No, I couldn’t. You…we’re partners now. We need to be in this together.”
Syd doesn’t seem satisfied with this.
He pauses. Thinks. Starts again. “I’m at my best when I’m in the kitchen with you. Everything turns out better when I make it for you. And I mean everything, not just food. Choices too.”
