You know how YuGiOh is a lot of card games with a little magic thrown into the mix? What if it was a lot of magic with only the occasional card game? That’s the idea we’re playing with here. No filler arcs. Minimal duels. Lots of character development, magic, and boys being cute as they save the world and maybe fall in love along the way. Literally no scene will play out as it did in the original show and we’re going to be deviating from the initial plot almost right out of the gate. The rare bits of content that do match the original narrative will be gone over as quickly as possible.
And while we're at it, let's fix the Egyptology, too.

Tommy is used to fighting. He’s grown up fighting for what he believes in. Wilbur’s taught him to never give up. But nothing prepared him for fighting against his own people. For the struggle of keeping Wilbur from giving up on everything they’ve ever worked for.
Techno, semi-retired, mostly bored, discovers trouble disguised as a child and an old friend injured and hiding in his home and only pretends to put up a fight as his farm becomes the foundation for a burgeoning revolution.
What can he say? It’s the most interesting thing to happen in a while even if he’s exhausted from the second Tommy opens his mouth.
