As the five of them made their way down a manhole and through dark, stinky tunnels, the rat finally sighed in defeat when Blue grabbed his hand to keep himself upright while unsteadily wobbling ahead, chirping “Dad, Dad!” every time he nearly slipped and fell.
“Okay, fine, yes,” sighed the rat, “you can call me Dad. But it also means you have to do as I say and listen to me, you little menaces.”
And Blue didn’t know what ‘menace’ was, but he still laughed in delight.
