Ian and Mickey have been friends for many years. The Gallagher house and some corners of the neighborhood became the places where they had savored their lives, bound together like glue. Knowing each other’s hearts was easy when friendship was all that stood between them, but during a spontaneous trip, far from home, far from Chicago, the dense fog of everything they knew about each other gently evaporates. Feelings are confusing.

“No,” Mickey mumbles, a little annoyed by the whiplash of Ian’s talking. “I don’t like it.”
Ian laughs outright at this, his eyes crinkling at the edges gently. Mickey’s learning that he really likes to watch Ian do that.
“That’s not true; everyone likes sex. I just mean - what's wrong with you? Do you just only like women? Is that what it is?”
