Summary
It's their senior year and Mike Wheeler has it all figured out. He finally has a car and he's going to drive all his friends around and it's going to be so great! Except everyone is busy with school and their own lives and Will doesn't want Mike to pick him up. Except if it's raining. Confused? So is Mike, trust me. Mike is also confused because suddenly he can't hug or look at Will without getting a bit flustered. It doesn't help that Will's washing machine stopped working and he has to wear his old clothes that don't quite fit or that biking to and from school and work has done amazing things for Will's legs. Mike HAS noticed this. Jane HAS noticed Mike noticing this. Will has NOT noticed Mike noticing this. What Will has done is make a new friend, discover that his new friend is a Lesbian and then tell her about his unrequited crush on a straight boy. Robin takes it upon herself to convince Will that this is a bad idea. (Mike is NOT Will Byers' Tammy Thompson.)

"Who gave you this necklace?" Mike breaks the kiss when he feels a chain lining behind Will's neck. He traces it down to Will's chest, noticing a small lock intertwined within. The lock could be opened with a compatible key, he figured.
"Carlton." Will pants, his eyes hooded from overstimulation, fingers lingering on the taller's curls.
Mike's eyebrows furrow and his eyes reflected a glint of annoyance. He chases Will's lips back and snakes his hand behind the shorter's neck once again, carefully unlatching its lock.
