“Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it’s gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot”
Big Yellow Taxi, Joni Mitchell, 1970What if developing Sanditon wasn’t such a great idea after all? A dark tale of Council corruption, dodgy developers, backhanders and murky deeds… not really, just a rather silly Sidlotte modern mash-up, with a slightly dark edge. It's inspired by Sanditon, but I can’t promise it’s very true to character, especially Charlotte’s. Anyway, it’s my attempt at a slightly political, slightly messy relationship story. Set somewhere on the Devon coast in the summertime... (Jane Austen liked to go to Sidmouth). There may be some sadness along the way, but there will be a happy ending.

Summary
Inspired by some chats online, this is a not at all serious, tongue in cheek version of Season 2 (which will probably end up being quite sentimental, knowing me). Torn asunder by a cruel twist of fate, Charlotte and Sidney go their separate ways. Sidney, in particular, suffers a great deal and by the time he reappears, he is so altered that he is almost unrecognisable (and therefore can be played by any old actor...) Charlotte too does not have quite the glamorous, independent adventure she might have hoped for.
But all will be well in the end - I promise!
Like any good soap opera, a few of the other characters get killed off, but don't worry, you won't miss them.
With apologies to Castaway (Tom Hanks), Robinson Crusoe, Titanic, Jane Eyre (of course!) and a little bit of the Mayor of Casterbridge and Lady Chatterley's Lover. If I get carried away with the Lady Chatterley stuff, I'll change the rating :)
A broken fairytale... with a happy ending.- Language:

Summary
“’I believe I am my best self, my truest self, when I am with you’,” she quoted with spite in her voice, her hand still on his chest. “You told me those words. Yet, you hid yourself for weeks from me.” Charlotte snapped. “I was naive enough to believe you would come back for me.”

Summary
Sometimes life can be a right bitch and just on the day Elizabeth Bennet is due to return to uni, her father suffers an accident that might leave him paralysed. Not a good state to be in as a farmer.
Putting her studies on hold, Elizabeth takes care of the farm and her family for the time being and at first, her life is far from exciting, as one might expect. - That is until a certain Charles Bingley buys Netherfield Park to turn the run-down place into a conference centre, bringing his best friend and obnoxious sister as well as his mother and step-father with him. From there on, life will never be the same when with the help of some meddling fools, the proverbial shit hardly ever stops hitting the fan and pretty much everybody involved is in for the craziest ride of their lives.Rated 'Mature' due to language and adult situations. Doesn't contain explicit scenes!
