“Anakin Skywalker,” Qui-Gon declares, laughter sparking in the back of his eyes as he leans back into the ship floor, “meet Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
Obi-Wan blinks down at the boy, takes in the luminous eyes that stare up at him, the clearly written awe in the young face. He tries to clear his throat, to speak, but the words stick under his tongue.
“Hi,” Anakin greets, smiling so hard his eyes are pushed into little half-moons. Obi-Wan take his small outstretched hand, shakes it firmly. He tries not to say "I know you like the back of my own hand" or "I’ve dreamed of meeting you for years."

A bunch of paperwork in front of him, one of those hideous pastel cups of what probably used to be steaming hot coffee right next to the man's work, he gave the impression of being rather deep in thought. Watching him hold a piece of paper and read whatever was so important, Anakin wondered how he was able to read comfortably in lighting like this. He did notice that the man was wearing glasses - reading glasses maybe? - and the slight hint of grey on his temples.
And if Anakin had a thing for attractive people older than him, it was his business, thank you very much.

“As I’ve said at the start of every semester, you can call me ‘Obi-Wan,’ it won’t hurt you.” Anakin blushes even more if that’s possible, ducking his head slightly in embarrassment. But the playful chastisement also makes him hot all over in a very different way as well.
“Yes, Professor—I mean, Obi-Wan,” Anakin quickly says, and then nods at Obi-Wan’s goodbye and tries not to instantly flee out of the room.
Fuck.
(Or, Anakin keeps taking Professor Kenobi's classes because of his massive crush on the man, but what will he do once he graduates?)
