    Jinshi was in serious trouble now. With the Emperor’s children continuing to grow sick and die, he’s not sure where to go from here. The doctors were at a complete loss, and it seems that the chains of his future tighten with each passing day. At least until a young apothecary girl with sharp blue eyes, a splattering of freckles, and was as blunt as a hammer comes into his life. Despite having everything handed to him on a silver platter, Jinshi had lived a lonely and dull life where he learned to hide his true face behind a façade he presents to the court… until he meets Maomao.

    For the first time, someone sees past his mask to his true self and she fills his world with color. Jinshi's feelings for Maomao evolve from initial curiosity and amusement to deep affection and romantic interest until he realized he cannot live without her.

    This is going to be a retelling of the Apothecary Diaries only they’re told from Jinshi's POV, based on both the anime and light novels. From his first meeting with Maomao to at least to the final episode of season 2.

    "Gorgeous?" Mina chirped, black and gold eyes sparkling. Momo knew the horned girl lived for this type of discussion.

    "No! Well, not no. I mean that's not untrue-" Mina squealed. She panicked. "H-He's a good partner! And it has nothing to do with...with his assets, either." Momo had to restrain herself from creating a fan to cool her scorching face.

    "Yeah, but it sure does help, doesn't it, Yaomomo?" Mina said, winking suggestively. Kyouka snorted. She was sure her face was as red as the left side of Todoroki's hair now. The thought didn't help.
