He laughs more. He hums while brushing his teeth. He sways a little when the kettle whistles, like there’s a song in his head no one else can hear. Sometimes he sings under his breath—love songs, mostly, the kind that make Nicholas’s chest tighten without knowing why. He tells himself it’s stupid to care. That it’s not about jealousy, or fear, or whatever fragile thing his heart is pretending not to feel. But the thought itches at him: if Euijoo’s happy, why does it feel like he lost something in the process?
