Hazel's weeks are all the same, between work, meetings with friends, and coffee breaks at the "Bacchus Garden," the diner not far from where she lives that is run by her old friend Dakota. Her routine, however, will be broken one morning when, during one of her weekly gossip dates with Piper, a big guy with black hair, a military jacket, and a strangely familiar look makes an appearance in the small café.
Who is he? Why does he look confused every time he looks at her? And why is it that when Hazel is the one looking at him she is assaulted by a feeling of comfortable familiarity?
