“I did move on,” she said, hardly confident. Her lip twitched like she didn’t even believe herself. He smiled cruelly down at her.
“But you didn’t. Couldn’t. And won’t,” he breathed, nostrils flaring as the thought of her even thinking about moving on filled his brain. Red and white spotted his vision. He felt dizzy. “There’s no moving on from me, Granger.”
A slow, dangerous smile spread over her lips. She looked psychotic before sweetly glancing down at his lips. When her head lifted back, her eyes remained on his mouth.
“Watch me,” she whispered, then pulled away, leaving the air cold and biting.
