Summary
"Do not make me regret my investment in you."
"I would never," Dottore breathes, a wicked, anticipatory grin curving his lips. "In fact, I intend to make you sing my praises. Worship at the altar of my genius, as I worship at yours."
Pantalone scoffs, a harsh, disbelieving sound. But there is a flicker of intrigue in his gaze, a dark curl of desire he cannot quite suppress. He did, didn’t he? Worship at the Regrator’s altar, in their tumultuous promenade, gravitating around one another from the very moment they met. -

Summary
Il Dottore fixed his penetrating gaze upon Childe, eyes narrowing behind the beaklike mask that now served as an integral part of his visage.
The words felt like poison on his tongue, all but a confession of his old age— deceptive as his appearance may be— but he forced them out. "What does it mean, to say that I ‘simp’ for The Regrator?”Series

Summary
“Uh… Question. Are Fatuus allowed to date?” Ororon had asked, head tilted to the side as he took a sip of his xocoatl. Despite the mask, Capitano had looked almost bewildered, and the younger man could imagine his eyes were wide beneath the dark surface that concealed him from the world.
“…Yes, of course. Why?” He had answered, and Ororon had shrugged. "One of your subordinates asked me on a date, earlier.”
If The Captain had seemed shocked before, he most certainly was after that statement. His posture had tensed, and Ororon raised a brow, placing his mug down. “I wasn’t interested, but it made me curious. I mean, the Fatui seems a little strict, so… I figured it would be difficult to make it work. That’s all.”
That seemed to dispel some of his tension, at least, though not wholly. Maybe he was worried about his subordinates slacking off when the dust had only just begun to settle after the Abyssal invasion?
“Hm. It may be difficult, due to the nature of our work… But it is not forbidden.”

Summary
"Cute ears," he remarked, his voice carrying a low, almost reluctant admiration.
Ororon shifted, something conniving donning his features. He tilted his head forward just enough to evade Capitano’s reaching hand, slipping away from his spot between the Harbinger’s legs. A gloved hand concealed his ears, his mouth curling into a smile Capitano had long grown to identify as impending mischief.
"Mm… If you want to touch them, then let's make a deal."
...
"About what?" Capitano’s voice held an edge of caution, already suspecting the answer might displease him.
...
"You can touch my ears… But then you'll show your face."

Summary
Caecitas — also known as blindness, signifies either a complete absence of sight or severe visual impairment.
It is not a curse, not divine punishment, but merely a condition in which the organs of vision cease to function.
How many lives have been wasted in pursuit of a cure for this affliction?
Yet, there will always be another madman, unwilling to accept a life in eternal darkness, despite the desperate and often futile attempts. Everything that has been tried a thousand times before: he will do in his own way.Bookmarked by lumittore
