“Eggsy?” Harry asks, watched by suspicious eyes under a tangled mop of hair. They blink, and they’re a catlike green, narrowing with distrust, but then they close abruptly.
Harry sheds his jacket. “I hope you can forgive the trespassing on my part,” he says, tucking the garment around the thin body, and lifts Eggsy off the ground. He weighs nothing, which is appalling. The ghastly things people did to children.

An irrational surge of anger burned on Harry’s tongue. “You knocked me out.”
Galahad stirred awake. “Good morning, darlin’,” he greeted, voice husky with sleep. He unfurled like a drowsy cat, lifting his arms above his head with a groan that did nothing to stifle Harry’s glower.
“You drugged me,” Harry enunciated each vowel like a dagger thrust. Although he was fuzzy around the edges as if nursing a hangover, he felt more human. More alert. And understandably, significantly ticked off. “Did you have a reason to do that, or did it simply strike you as amusing to strike while my guard was down?”
“Ah. Maybe not darlin’’?” Galahad mused.

At the end of the world he stands in the water and says– my soul, my body, my mind, but not my heart.
There is a valorous boy in a red ribbon. He is a puppet on a string. He is the gear that turns the fates of others. If he makes a contract he’ll end the world. If he makes no contract the world will end. He stares across the water at a love he has no memory of. He stares up at the shattered sky. He stares into himself and says, swallow down your hesitation– what will you wish for?

Izuna had neither seen nor thought about Mrs. Mito Uzumaki since the funeral where they'd buried her husband. He hadn't paid her much attention then either beyond the basic courtesies one performed - he'd been more concerned at the time for his blank-faced brother who should have still been in his own sickbed. Madara had not been taking losing his close friend to the Spanish flu well, especially not after the deaths of the Great War, and that was always going to be Izuna's priority compared to a dead man's family who he'd fairly disliked and a woman he'd hardly known.
Now ten years later it feels like he can't walk into a single crime scene without red hair turning up like a taunt.
