The summer is just beginning but it feels like the end of it to Eddie as he's whisked away from his friends and semi-freedom in New York, to the tiny and suffocating town of Derry Maine. With his mother constantly breathing over his shoulder, and a babysitter who should probably be in a nursing home Eddie is sure his life on the outside is over. That is until he takes a fateful trip into the forests of Derry. There he finds a safe haven, magic, friends and maybe even possibly Love.
