“No. Fuck no, I don’t like it," Hank says.
“I’m sorry.” Connor’s LED flicks to yellow for less than a second, and when he opens his mouth someone else’s voice entirely comes out, something deep and rumbly and Not Connor. “Is this better?”
“Connor. I like you. Your voice."
When Hank takes Connor to bed for the first time, he wasn't expecting the android to be the insecure one.

Summary
Hank shakes his head, reaches under the covers and wraps his hand around the cool chassis on Connor’s thigh where his dermal layer has receded, touch warm but feather-light. He hopes Connor can feel all his intentions pooling there, like some strange osmosis where love passes between flesh and plastic.
“Does it...hurt?” he asks.
Suddenly, and without much warning, Connor begins trembling against Hank’s side. He makes a soft, wounded sound somewhere between a laugh and a sob that makes Hank’s arms prickle with goosebumps.
“It did,” Connor rasps. “It did, Hank. It hurt so much.”

Still working as partners at the DPD, Hank and Connor investigate the murder of Professor Eighty-nine, an android professor teaching at Detroit University.

Hank and Connor continue to work as partners in the DPD, solving android related crimes. Five months after the revolution, while investigating a homicide, they figure out the last painting Carl Manfred made before his death has been stolen.
As they attempt to solve the case and catch the killer, Connor begins to realise his feelings for his partner run deeper than a simple friendship, while he's still struggling with the guilt of his actions pre-deviancy.
