Summary
The keys to his agency rattle tauntingly in his hands. The door stays untouched. (Like Izuku's bedroom, the morgue, their old favorite restaurant.) 'This, this sadness you feel, this hesitation, is a show of your weakness,' a part of him sneers, 'look at how pathetic you are.'
In response, in one hand this burning grief and the other this looming loss, Katsuki does not choose to let them go and instead grab onto his rage, to strangle it and squeeze the juice out of it, to let it slide down his chin, for it to melt the earth and him last. Instead, Katsuki takes the both of them, and chooses to cry.
