Summary
A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.
The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.

Summary
Sixteen year old Emery Dixon had learned her lesson enough times to understand how important the rules were. The rules that kept people at arm’s length. If they couldn’t get close, they couldn’t hurt her like so many had before.
The Iron Angel was the better version of herself. The strong one, the brave one, the unbreakable one. The Iron Angel saved people from the things no one protected Emery from. The things that ended with Emery traumatized and alone on the streets.
But with a new enemy and the Avengers taking notice of her, the careful order Emery had built for herself began to crumble. Between trying to get through the shitshow called her life as Emery and being stretched to her limits as the Iron Angel, she’s ripping at the seams. And she doesn’t think she can put herself together again. At least, not by herself. But maybe she doesn’t have to be as alone as she thought. “Nesta,” he said carefully, so soft and delicate, but she just kept speaking quietly, as if he wasn’t actually there and she was instead addressing whatever version of him existed in her mind.
“I was hoping not to wake you. Actually, I was hoping you would do it,” she muttered, shaking her head. “I thought that was why we were here. But then you just kept walking and walking, and I couldn’t fucking take it anymore.”
