The Berelyse Institute of Cultural Illumination is proud to present The Last Lighthouse Keeper, which examines the end of an age primarily through the eyes of those who lived through it. Select works, including diary entries, letters, and legends, have been faithfully preserved and recreated for visitors to peruse. Though not from primary sources, additional exhibits have been curated by our team of experts to help aid visitors’ understanding of the events that transpired.
Through this special exhibit, we invite all visitors to ask: if you illuminate a single subject, who controls that light, and what might they leave behind in the darkness?

Summary
Usually, Venti's letters arrived on Xiao's balcony, sent in by the breeze. They never arrived through the typical courier system. Xiao found the change strange, but not strange enough to not immediately open the letter and pour over the sweet words within. Venti’s poetry always soothed him, but this one left him with a lingering question. These weren’t sweet words to comfort him. This was an invitation.
Two days later, standing at the gates of Mondstadt City, Xiao realized something.
Venti said to find him at the Windblume Festival.
But he didn’t say where within the city he was.

Summary
Clementine wakes up in a bedroom that is far too big.
Her eyes fly open, and immediately she knows something is wrong. There is no haze of purple in her periphery. Her view of her surroundings is crystal clear, free of any obstruction. Frantically she touches her face, and what gives under her skin is not Russian Sage, but smooth flesh.
She takes a moment to ground herself. This must be some kind of joke. Perennial hasn’t pulled something so cruel on Clementine in a while, but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

It’s necessary for Rigour to die. Once it’s dead, maybe it can fully be forgotten.
Maybe Cass will be forgotten along with it. That wouldn’t be so bad, they think. By the time they’re forgotten, everyone they’ve ever known and loved will long since be dead. The universe will have changed so drastically that Cass won’t worry about being remembered. History books can only be so long.
Cass doesn’t care much for the history books. Not anymore.

“Xiao? Your Postmates is here," Ganyu says, holding up a bag of takeout. Xiao has no idea what it could be. He glances back at his computer, only belatedly realizing that he should have taken a lunch three hours ago.
A name appears in his mind: Venti. It should be three in the morning for him right now. He hopes he’s asleep.
Ganyu hands him the bag. He unties the top, looking for any sort of message. He finds it scrawled on the inside of the container, written in a neat, quick hand.
Make sure to take a lunch break! You get half an hour. Love, Venti
