Obi-Wan smiles wider.
“I figured he could handle it.”
Mr. Skywalker bends forward with a fist wedged against his thigh, conspiring like. His tight jeans whine when he does so.
“How many shelves do you think he climbed to get them?”
A sigh. Mr. Skywalker knows his son well.
“At least two. Apparently there was a witness.”
“Hey! You weren’t supposed to tell him.”
Stormy eyes meet Obi-Wan’s for a split second. An entire, exasperated conversation passes between them with that one look. Obi-Wan realizes the significance, the electricity almost in real time. It takes his breath away, recognizing the silent conversation they just had for what it actually is. Obi-Wan clears his throat into his fist and tries to lurch away, to flee the intense stare still boring into him. But he’s rooted to the spot in the bubble of Mr. Skywalker’s cologne. It smells woodsy and musky. Like a man would smell, Obi-Wan reckons.

Okay. This was like, a godsend. I swear.
Actually it's like all my madness materialized in a fic and omg ????? How am I supposed to be normal after this? I will never know. Mondays have never been as exciting as now.
I live and breathe for this fic, I wake up and fall asleep thinking about it. It's actually driving me crazy.***Edit in chapter six:
I'm delusional, and my friends' ideas about THAT Anakin will do to Obi-Wan only make me more uneasy. So, anxiety is eating me up more and more because overthinking is my second name and, the cloudy feelings of peace, the realization that Obi-Wan is STILL a KID, but the fact that I forget all of that every time I reread this and I- I really am a mess.It comforts me to know that it says HAPPY ENDING up there, but to get there, a lot of things need to happen. And thinking about those things steals my peace of mind so, I should go read again how Anakin and Obi-Wan sit on the sofa doing evil things and think that it will be like this forever (monday please come now, for God's sake).
