Summary
“Is he happy?”
Red Hood said it nonchalantly enough. He was leaning against his—their?—favorite gargoyle, looking down at the city stretched out before them, smoke curling from the cigarette between his fingers. He looked like he couldn’t care less for the answer, as though the question didn’t weigh on him at all.
But Jason knew better. Of course he did.
In which Batman and Red Hood sit down and talk. That is to say, a Batman and a Red Hood.

Summary
“Sorry to just drop in like this,” Head had said, smiling shyly. “I know it’s not exactly protocol, but I was already downtown and I figured—why not, right? Hope I’m not throwing a wrench in your afternoon.”
He’d sounded apologetic enough, but Donna couldn’t help but think that if he was really, truly sorry about the inconvenience, he would have called ahead of time. He would have scheduled a meeting on Monday or some other day when a more senior IRO—if not Lucius Fox himself—would be there to greet him, instead of showing up out of the blue and rattling her floor into panic.
But Donna knew better than to say any of that aloud. These nepo babies and trust-fund princes weren’t used to being told no, and to start now was way above her pay grade.
So she’d plastered on her best smile and said, “Not at all. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Head. Welcome to Wayne Enterprises.”
In which Jason decides to be a menace—as seen through the eyes of a no-nonsense Wayne Enterprises employee.

Summary
“Don’t run.”
Jason reels back. That guttural voice could only belong to one person.
A fraying gauntlet clamps down on his shoulder. “Did you have a justifiable cause when you murdered that man?”
Of course it’s an accusation. He wants to join the worms in their chorus of laughter.
As it is, he swallows his elation and grinds the morsel to dust. “Your city is falling apart and you want to waste your time worrying about whether or not I had a legitimate reason for slicing up that rabies-infested piece of meat? What kind of a protector are you?”
The Batman grunts in lieu of a response.
Earth-51 Bruce + New Earth Jason reunite at the end of the world.

Summary
Very little surprises Batman. He has helmed the defence of Gotham for fourteen full years and counting, and over that time he has faced all manner of threat. City takeovers, plagues, earthquakes, transportation hijackings, brainwashing—nights that canvass the entire spectrum of the human experience. Over time he has come to expect the horrors. Has learnt to brace in advance and prepare his stomach for the novel reveal of another sick trick.
But tonight it is not some new depravity that startles him. It is instead the ingenuity of a figure cloaked in fabric imperceptible to his cowl’s thermal scanning. An invisible man creeping away from his car.
Batman laughs and the stranger whips his head in his direction.
Bruce is waylaid when he finds an adolescent beside the Batmobile clutching a detonator. [Red Hood: Lost Days #2 Canon Divergence.]

Summary
‘Why?!’ He commanded, tearing the mask off this lunatic’s face. ‘Tell me. Who told you about this place?’
This graveyard. No one should have known who was buried here.
Batman still remembered the day he and Alfred had Jason’s body secretly moved to this spot so no could find it.
Defile it.
Or, the Social Worker's actions have a domino effect, leading Batman: Hush's ending to go very differently
