Summary
Something is wrong with Soap. Perhaps not wrong exactly, but off. It hadn’t taken Ghost long to realize it but it became difficult to ignore after he saw the man pluck an acorn from the ground and crunch it between his molars without so much as a wince. Once he started realizing the things that were off about Johnny it became impossible to stop.
It’s an odd thing, Soap thinks, wanting a human. He’s favored humans in the past, and he’s currently quite fond of his Captain and fellow Sergeant. But he hasn’t, till now, wanted any of them. Though his Ghost is certainly a special case.or Soap is a fae in disguise, Ghost is paranoid but correct.

Summary
John tucks his nose into the crook of Simon’s neck, cold against the fabric of his mask, and Simon can only hold him tighter, letting his own scent wash away every trace of the other alpha.
“Johnny.”
The name comes unbidden to his lips, Simon able to feel the shiver that wracks Soap’s body, the goosebumps that prickle his skin. John’s fingers tighten in his shirt, warm breath against the cloth at Simon’s neck. He’s so close, the scent of him soothing over Simon’s own skin like a balm to the ache that lives buried deep inside of him.
He knows he should say something, do something, but he’s frozen, rooted to the spot.
Johnny is his best friend. His best fucking friend in the entire world and while he knows the man won’t speak on what happened tonight, Simon is offering whatever comfort he can.
But maybe it’s not his to offer. Maybe the reason Johnny went out tonight is because he’s looking for something.

Summary
Ghost made to push past Soap, headed for the door, when Soap raised his hand to grab at his arm. Unfortunately for the both of them, his fingers dug right into the spot where a younger Ghost met the heated end of a fire poker.
Ghost flinched away from him the moment Soap touched him. Genuinely fled out of his grip like he was the thing burning his shot nerve endings, electricity under his skin. Ghost instinctively brought a hand up to his arm, pressing into the skin around the raised and irritated scar like that would distract him from the pain.
Soap had pulled back, shock and something else covering his face.
“Simon?”
