    Nishikiyama Akira has been granted his own family, but he can hardly call himself happy. His kyoudai languishes in prison for a crime Nishiki committed, his sister's health is in rapid decline, and his men disrespect him. As the months go by, disrespect turns to abuse, and Matsushige has far too much fun degrading and humiliating Nishikiyama.

    Things come to a head one day in 1996, when Nishikiyama attempts to commit suicide before Matsushige walks in on him. But when he snaps and grabs his knife and advances on Matsushige, he doesn't manage to kill his underling. Instead, Matsushige overpowers him, knocking him out. Nishiki awakes restrained in a dark, unfamiliar place, and realises what he has gotten himself into.

    Months later, Majima Goro learns that Nishikiyama is missing, but decides to keep the news from Kiryu. However, he doesn't want Kiryu-chan to lose Nishikiyama, so he, along with his sort-of boyfriend Nishitani Homare, decide to search for Nishiki themselves. They expect something terrible has happened, but when they find him, they see something they never, ever expected. And now the pair are left to deal with Nishikiyama, unsure if they have what it takes to help him.
