Eventual recovery/relationship - but Bakugou's gotta get over some extensive trauma first.

In his experience, ‘entertainment’ was often in the form of breaking people’s will when it came to villains.
She wanted to break them, and she wanted to have fun with it. Katsuki would be a challenge she couldn't help herself from taking on.

It pretty much goes as you would expect; horribly. With a torturer as their kidnapper, no clues about their whereabouts whatsoever to the outside world and time quickly running out, they'll need as much luck as they can get to escape... let alone survive.

How could he ever think it wasn’t his fault? How could he convince himself of such a thing when he could’ve easily taken Katsuki with him and kept him safe? Kacchan didn’t need his protection, he was a far stronger hero than he ever would be, but at least he could’ve helped. He could’ve been there if anything went wrong. He could’ve done what he wanted to do in the first place and Kacchan wouldn’t have done what he did.
He could’ve had him by his side, where he belonged.
And now he didn’t know if that would ever be possible again.
Because Izuku had been gone for a year and a half, the same amount of time Kacchan had been missing, and no one had heard from him since.

It's been over a year since Izuku had left UA, and over a year since Katsuki ran after him. Yet only one of them returns to the school, the other does not.
It does not matter what it takes - if he has to kill and torture and plead with the League themselves, Izuku would find him amongst the rubble of the ruined city.

Bakugo Katsuki has always been wary of having a soulmate.
To him, a preordained soulmate doesn't mean anything, he doesn't care about True Matches, only love. If he falls in love with his soulmate, that's fine, but he wants it to be his choice, not the universe's. After all, sometimes the universe gets it wrong. Sometimes a True Match is better off apart than together. So he refuses to let fate choose, and cuts off his soulmate's voice. Well, mostly.
He can't help but let the sweet sound of his soulmate's singing voice through the connection, but never any more than that.
Kirishima Eijiro has always know his soulmate is a little bit on the cranky and distrustful side. Ever since the age of ten, his soulmate forbade him to speak to them, refused to even open the connection if he went to speak. However, his soulmate never tells him to stop singing, and that's good enough for him. Even if he never gets a response in another song or words, he does, sometimes, gets little hums following along or a deliberate push of emotions down the connection. It's enough to make him hopeful that when their first meeting arrives, maybe his match will give him a chance.
